Q: Is there a limit to the number of participants for MBSS 2016?

A: Yes, MBSS 2016 is only open for 200 qualified participants on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Q: How to ensure that my registration is successful?

A: You will get a confirmation email sent by participantaffairs.mbss@gmail.com after registering.

Q: What is the tagline for MBSS 2016?

Q: What are the objectives of MBSS 2016?

A: 

  1. To provide Malaysia as well as Southeast Asia’s students with insights into business professions.

  2. To serve as a networking platform between students and business leaders in Malaysia as well as Southeast Asia.

  3. To equip students with soft skills that is necessary in the real business world.

  4. To provide inspiration for undergraduates to become a well-rounded workforce.

Q: Who can participate in MBSS 2016?

A: Students (undergraduates- degree/diploma) from ALL local and private universities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia countries. We also do allocate limited slots for students that have completed their pre-university courses (post Form 6, post Diploma, post A-Levels, and post O-Levels students).

Q: Why should I join MBSS 2016?

A: Malaysian Business Student Summit (MBSS) 2016 will be filled with fun yet beneficial activities which includes *The Amazing Race, Summit Banquet, Business Talks by Keynote Speakers, Symposium, Business Simulation and etc. This is a great opportunity for you to expand your social network, especially in business profession field.

Q: How much is the registration fee?

A: The registration fee is RM110 per person. We do have Early Bird Premium fees. Learn more about it here.

Q: What kind of activities should I be involved in?

A: Business Talks by Keynote Speakers, The Amazing Race, Summit Banquet, Symposium, Business Simulation and etc. that are in the Programme Flow.

Q: Who is the organizer of MBSS 2016?

A: University of Malaya Business Club (UMBC).

Q: Is transportation provided? If not, how can I get to University of Malaya

A: No, participants have to get their own transport to University of Malaya. However, transportation will be provided throughout the 4 days of our event.

TRANSPORTATION

Public Transportation to University of Malaya 

 

I. From KL Sentral

Participants may take the LRT (Kelana Jaya Line) from KL Sentral to Universiti Station, then take Rapid KL T789 (previously T632) to University of Malaya. Our committees will be waiting for you at the main library bus stop and guide you to Faculty of Business and Accountancy.

 

II. From Bukit Jalil

Participants may take the LRT from Bukit Jalil Station to Masjid Jamek Station and transfer to Kelana Jaya Line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses T789 (previously T632) to reach University of Malaya.

 

III. From Putra Station 

Participants may take the LRT from PWTC Station to Masjid Jamek Station and transfer to Kelana Jaya Line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses T789 (previously T632) to reach University of Malaya.

 

IV. From Titiwangsa 

Participants may take the LRT from Titiwangsa Station to Masjid Jamek Station, then transfer to Kelana Jaya line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses T789 (previously T632) to reach University of Malaya.

 

V. From UKM/Nilai (KTM) 

Participants may take the KTM to KL Sentral and then proceed to take LRT from KL Sentral to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses T789 (previously T632) to reach University of Malaya.

 

VI. From Midvalley KTM Station 

Participants may go to the North Court to take Rapid KL buses T788 (previously T631) to reach University Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses T789 (previously T632) to reach University of Malaya.

Q: When and where will MBSS 2016 be held?

A: 25th of January to 28th of January 2016. (Monday to Thursday), at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Lock your dates!

 

P.S: Exemption letter will be given to students that participate in our event.

Q: Is accommodation provided for participants?

A: Yes, accommodation will be provided for participants throughout our event.

Q: How can I pay the registration fee to the organizer?

A: Only participants from University of Malaya are allowed to make the payment in cash to the organizer/University Malaya Business Club. Participants from other universities and colleges can make the payment via online banking. Once banked in, participants are required to send their banking slip/receipt to participantaffairs.mbss@gmail.com as proof of payment.

Q: When can I start to register and when is the deadline for the registration?

A: Our registration will start on 30th November 2015 and the deadline will be 10th January 2016! To register, click here.

Q: What are the dress code requirements?

A: The rules and regulations will be emailed to participants after successfully registering for our event.

Q: Is MBSS 2016 open to foreign students as well?

A: Definitely! Foreign undergraduates are most welcome to join MBSS 2016!
